My owner contacted Harlequin Haven after her Pit-bull tried to kill me. She said she did not have the money to get me medical care and after almost 24 hours I was still bleeding heavily. Harlequin Haven agreed to take me, so I was transported directly to All Creatures Animal Hospital where I am receiving around the clock medical care. I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning. When I arrived last night, I was not in stable enough condition to endure anesthesia so I was put on IV fluids, antibiotics and pain medicine to give me time to regain some of my strength.

Below is a picture of me and a couple of pictures of my legs to give you a example of my wounds. The vets office said many of my wounds would be to graphic for my webpage. The vet gave an estimate of  $1000 for my hospital care and surgery that does not include my on going care.

Update 1/19: I had surgery on Friday and all has went well. The Vet said the drains they put in are scheduled to be removed Tuesday and if all goes well I will come home to the rescue later that day. Paws crossed!!
Update 1/22: Sorry I forgot to update you when I came home but, I am getting to know my new home and all my new friends here at the rescue! Below are a couple of new pics I know not much but hey I have been through a lot in a week!!!! At this time I am focusing on gaining weight (about 15 pounds) and letting my wounds heal.
Update 2/8: My wounds are healed and I have gained weight so I am now ready for adoption. Okay who is looking for a loving and very gentle Dane. FYI, I still don't like getting my picture taken!
