My owners had bought me and my brother from our breeder, and we lived above a bar in Cincinnati, Ohio.   One day our owner took off and left us. After several days his mother called HHGDR to come and get us.   We had gone for days without care, but the rescue came immediately and got us. They gave us the care
and love we so needed.   I was adopted shortly after by a wonderful woman who ended up becoming a volunteer for the rescue.   That was in 1997, and I am now a happy healthy 8 year old Dane.   My mom has even started her own Dane Rescue, Great Dane Rescue of Ohio, and I try my best to help with all the new homeless Danes because I know so well the feeling of being homeless and scared.
