Does more than save Homeless Dogs The stated mission of Harlequin Haven is to save the lives of homeless Great Danes and other breeds, as space allows. The Rescue also works closely with All Creatures Animal Hospital (ACAH) to save other lives as well. In November 2003 we received an urgent call from ACAH saying that they needed a blood donor, or a beloved family pet would die. We did not hesitate, but immediately went to the rescue of an elderly Dachshund that was in critical condition. Today that Dachshund is living a happy, healthy life, thanks to Monty and his blood!
