Violet Interested in adopting me? Click here for our >> Adoption Procedures After giving my owners puppies so they could sell them and make money, they threw me out to fend for myself in a rural area of Hamilton County. I was so scared I just kept running from people, after all who could I trust? Then Lost Pet Recovery set a trap and I was so hungry that when I went in to get the food I was trapped. I was then taken to Cincinnati Animal CARE Humane Society to serve my stray time, of course no one came looking for me! When my stray time was up, and no one had came for me Harlequin Haven was contacted and the next day I was here!! I only weigh 75 pounds and I should weigh close to 100 pounds. I am being fed 4 small meals a day and getting lots of hugs and kisses! Plus I got tons of toys and other dogs to play with!! I think life is looking up!! I want to Thank Lost Pet Recovery for setting the trap and baiting it with really yummy food and yes trapping me. Without you all I might not be here today!!!
Update 7/21: Within a few days of arriving here I came
down with a very bad case of Kennel Cough. My being so underweight and
so stressed it was easy for me to pick it up at Cincinnati Animal CARE,
hopefully the new meds the vet has prescribed will help me get well
quick. Well, I am exhausted, so I am going back to bed, please keep me in
your thoughts to get well soon. Update 9/04: I am NOW ready for adoption!!! I weigh a whopping 94 pounds and am as cute as a button just ask me!! I love to eat, play, snuggle and go for car rides!! The one thing I do not like is getting my picture taken! Just ask Grandma LOL. New pictures are below although it was against my wishes. Update 10/7: This is kinda embarrassing to tell strangers but I have been diagnosed with urinary incontinence and will need to take medicine for the rest of my life. The good news is when I take it I have no accidents and it is only 1 pill a day. Otherwise I am a healthy happy girl. Please can you spare a
few dollars to help the Rescue continue to help me and other Danes like
me? It would be greatly appreciated. Without the Rescue who knows
where we would have ended up!!
